My ista & My Gurudev Shri Pt. Sanjay Rath and Smt. Sarbani Rath. Gurudev Shri Sanjay Rath belongs to a traditional family of astrologers from Bira Balabhadrapur Sasan village of Puri, Orissa, which trace their lineage back to Shri Achyuta Das (Sri Achyutananda). He studied under his uncle, late Pandit Kasinath Rath. His grandfather, the late Pandit Jagannath Rath, was the Jyotish Ratna of Orissa and authored many books on Jyotish. He began his studies at a tender age and received the depth of Jyotish only found among those who have been trained in the ancient traditional way of the parampara. He later became a graduate of mechanical engineering and joined the Government of India as an Indian Administrative Officer in 1992. But the intervenation of divine Plan and his innate connection with his Guru, he took VRS from the lucarative government service to devote himself completely to Jyotisha and became founatin head one of the branches of this Sri Achyutananda lineage. He has the depth of the ancient knowledge with the ability to communicate it to the modern mind. He establishes various centers for deserving students for learning Jyotish.
Smt. Sarbani Rath born on the Thirtieth day of June 1962 in Calcutta, India at seventeen minutes past midnight, to very pious parents Ashoke Kumar Sarkar and Aloka, who were the third generation in the Sarkar family directly associating with the Ramakrishna order. She had the good fortune of associating with the saṅnyāsins of the Śrī Sāradā Math from birth. When only four years old she learnt how to make the Śiva Liñga with mud from the banks of the Gaṅgā and worship with sixteen offerings (ṣoḍaśa upacāra), mantra and mudra. The grace of Holy Mother Śrī Sāradā Ma flowed as she learnt Sanskrit and vedic literature including purāṇa and various spiritual practises directly from the Math. She completed her Masters degree from University of Calcutta in 1987. Earlier she worked as a social scientist specializing in environment, law, rights and the history of ideas. Her childhood passion for vedic astrology and other occult sciences like I-Ching and the Tarot led her to gradually move fulltime into this field of work. She learnt Jyotish under the able guidance of Pt. Sanjay Rath. and became Certified Jaimini scholar. Today she is the President of Sri Jagannath Center and Chief Editor of the Jyotish Digest. She teaches Jyotish and is the backbone of all the activities undertaken Devaguru Brihaspati Centre and SJC.

Smt. B. Lakshmi Ramesh
Smt. B. Lakshmi Ramesh is a blessed child of the Lord, having received her Diksha at the age of one and a half years from Bhagavan Satya Sai Baba. Through the blessings of the Guru, she completed reading the Ramayan, Mahabharat & Bhagavatam before she completed 3 years of age. She completed her Masters degree in the year 1982, from Osmania University in English Literature, being a University Topper & Gold Medalist. Then she joined the State Bank of India as a Probationary Officer in 1983. Her banking career spanned 20 years, specializing in Foreign Exchange & IT.
Her spiritual journey began at a tender age but thereafter the Divine Plan led her to accomplish several remarkable feats in the area of academics & career, briefly moving her away from a rare spiritual start to a human life. However, the innate connect with the Guru always remained & her life came a full circle with a move to Tirupati in 2003, her spiritual anchor. She opted for the VRS in 2004, soon after the move. In July 2001 she joined SJC under the able guidance of Pt. Sanjay Rath. She considers it her highest privilege to have learnt from the lineage & Pt. Sanjay Rath. In 2011 she successfully completed the 5-year long Jaimini Scholar Programme (2007-11) & is a certified Jaimini Scholar of the First Himalaya Batch of Devaguru Brihaspati Center (DBC).
